Soya Tofu Chilla

Ingredients

  • 200 gm Green gram dal
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 100 gm Tofu
  • Soyabean refined oil (for shallow frying)
  • Green chillies to taste
  • Salt to taste

How to Prepare

Wash and soak the dal for an hour. Drain water completely and grind into a thick batter of pouring consistency. Add salt, cumin seeds and mix well.

Grate the tofu. Finely chop green chillies, onion, and tomatoes.

Mix the tofu with green chillies, onion, tomatoes, and salt. Keep aside.

Heat a pan, spread 1/3 cup of batter and make a pancake 4-5 inches in diameter. Spread about 2 tbsp tofu mixture on the chilla.

Allow the chilla to turn golden brown and roll out the pancake. Serve hot with green chutney.
