During neutralization of soybean oil, the soap stock obtained is collected in an acid proof vessel and acidified at an elevated temperature. This acidification results separation of fatty matter from the soap-water-oil mixture. The fatty matter is collected separately as Acid Oil and stored in the storage tank.

It is a bi product of Soya Oil and is used in making of soaps and detergents. It is made from soap stock of soya oil. Once the sulphuric treatment is done on soap stock we get acid oil. It is widely used in oil soaps and detergents etc.

An inexpensive oil that is nutritious and has a high smoke point. Soybean oil is approximately 58% polyunsaturated fat, 23% monounsaturated, and 15% saturated fat. Used extensively in making margarine and shortening.
