Soya Matar Pasanda

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Soyabean refined oil
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup boiled onion paste
  • 1/2 cup boiled green peas
  • 1/4 cup fresh tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup soaked and roughly chopped soya chunks
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh cream
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander for garnishing

How to Prepare

Heat oil in a kadhai and add cumin seeds. When they crackle, add ginger-garlic paste and boiled onion paste. Sauté till golden brown.

Lower the flame, add tomato purée and sauté till the mixture leaves oil.

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala, sugar, salt and 2 tablespoons water. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes while stirring continuously.

Add green peas and soya chunks, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add cream and mix well. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
