Soya Kadai Tofu

Ingredients

  • 300 gms Tofu (soya paneer)
  • 10 gms Garlic paste, Red chilli powder & Garam masala
  • 100 gms Onion
  • 60 ml Soyabean refined oil
  • 80 gms Tomato paste
  • 2 cups Water
  • 40 gms Capsicum
  • Salt to taste
  • 15 gms Ginger paste & Coriander powder
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder

How to Prepare

Dice the tofu. Cut capsicum and 50 gms of onion into equal sized pieces. Coarsely grind the remaining onion.

Fry the diced tofu in 10 ml oil and keep aside.

Add the remaining oil and sauté ginger and garlic till golden brown. Add onion paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes before adding the tomato paste.

Cook until oil starts separating. Add remaining spices, chopped onion, capsicum, and tofu. Sauté for 2 minutes.

Add hot water and let the gravy simmer without closing the lid. Cook till gravy thickens. Serve hot with chapatis.
