Soya Bhindi Rogani

Ingredients

  • 300 gms Okra
  • 5 gms Big cardamom, Turmeric powder & Coriander powder
  • 200 gms Onion
  • 2 gms Cinnamon
  • 150 gms Tomato
  • Some Cloves & Bay leaves
  • 100 gms Soya granules
  • 75 ml Soyabean refined oil
  • 60 gms Ginger
  • 4 cups Water
  • 30 gms Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder

How to Prepare

Soak soya granules in warm water for ten minutes.

Wash, dry, and cut okra into approx. 2 inch pieces. Fry in oil until semi-cooked.

Heat the remaining oil in a pressure cooker. Add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaves. Add ginger and garlic and sauté until golden brown.

Add onion paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes before adding the tomato paste. Cook till oil separates.

Add salt and remaining spices. Add granules and sauté for 5 minutes. Add water and let the gravy thicken.

Add okra and pressure cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve hot with chapattis or boiled rice.
